Dear Members and Friends of ASM,
ASM is pleased to announce our Fall event dates. We hope that you will join us for one or more of these amazing opportunities!
The Autism Collaborative Center & The Autism Society of Michigan Present a Series of 6 Workshops Designed to Assist Parents, Educators and Community Service Providers Who Support Persons on the Autism Spectrum
Each of these trainings is $20.00; if you register for all 6 the cost will be $100.00 and you must register in order to attend.
Each of these trainings will be held at the Autism Collaborative Center, located at the old Fletcher School, 1055 Cornell, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197
Time: 9:30 - 3:30 p.m.; 1 hour lunch break and two 15 minute breaks
Lunch on your own, but coffee, tea, juices, water and breakfast breads and pastries will be provided

Training One: October 7, 2010: Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorders
Training Two - November 11, 2010: Understanding Asperger's Syndrome
Training Three - December 9, 2010: Behavior is Communication: From Different Points of View
Training Four - January 13, 2011: Autism Spectrum Disorders and Sensory Issues
Training Five - March, 2011: Visual Supports/Project Based Curriculum for Students on the Autism Spectrum
Training Six - May 12, 2011: Transition: What Planning Needs to Occur Before Age 18?

ASM Resource Fair "Resources Across the Lifespan"
Date/Time: October 16, 2010 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Fall is approaching and ASM is hosting the 2010 Fall Resource Expo, "Resources Across the Lifespan," to showcase products and services that will be beneficial throughout many years. Exhibitors will represent recreational, educational, community providers, state agencies, advocacy groups, therapists, adult resources, camps, schools, transitions programs, consultants, and food samples including allergen free products. There will also have a bookstore and available information on ASD.We expect 400+ ASM members, parents and professionals to participate. For more information, visit our website.
